Josh Jefferies is an English-qualified commercial litigation solicitor with significant experience advising on complex, high-value and cross-border matters. He has acted for corporates, financial institutions, investors and high-net-worth individuals across a broad range of commercial matters, with experience spanning litigation, arbitration, M&A, intellectual property, data and privacy, and general commercial law.
Josh has developed a particular focus on complex commercial disputes and international arbitration, including shareholder disputes, breaches of directors’ duties, professional negligence, insolvency and fraud-related matters. He is especially experienced in urgent and interim relief, including freezing injunctions, asset disclosure orders and search orders.
He regularly leads multi-jurisdictional matters, coordinating legal teams and working closely with forensic, investigation and other specialist advisers. His work includes complex enforcement actions, cross-border asset recovery, crypto and digital asset disputes, and international arbitration proceedings.
Josh’s recent experience includes:
- Discharging a US$3 billion worldwide freezing order in proceedings involving a sovereign wealth fund
- Acting in multi-jurisdictional disputes, securing summary judgment and indemnity costs in high-value claims
- Acting in LCIA arbitration concerning a US$250 million patent dispute across multiple jurisdictions
- Obtaining and enforcing freezing and proprietary injunctions, recovering substantial assets
- Acting in complex crypto fraud and “persons unknown” injunction proceedings
- Advising on cross-border asset recovery linked to major international fraud matters
