Annabel Griffin

Annabel is co-founder and CEO of Hazelbrook Legal and co-founder of RegWrangler, an AI-enabled regulatory change management platform developed from Hazelbrook’s work with regulated organisations.

Annabel began her career in banking and finance, working in Australia and internationally across debt capital markets, trade and supply chain finance, credit and credit risk, and retail banking. This experience gave her a strong understanding of financial services, regulated businesses and commercial decision-making.

Since co-founding Hazelbrook Legal in 2013, Annabel has led the firm’s strategy, growth and operations. Her responsibilities span finance, risk management, people and culture, technology and cyber security, property, marketing and business development. She is focused on creating an environment in which Hazelbrook’s people can do their best work and clients receive responsive, practical and commercially grounded service.

Annabel has a genuine interest in how businesses operate and a strong instinct to question whether there is a better way of doing things. This approach has shaped Hazelbrook’s growth and led to the creation of RegWrangler, which evolved from a practical solution developed for clients into a purpose-built technology platform. Annabel has led its strategy, product development and commercialisation.

Outside her executive roles, Annabel has served as a Momentum Mentor with the Australian National University’s College of Business and Economics for the past three years, supporting students as they prepare for and begin their professional careers. She has also mentored newly arrived refugees and is committed to expanding opportunities for people from diverse backgrounds.

Annabel holds a combined Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Commerce from the Australian National University.
